I was just looking around in this site and decided to look at the Christmas pictures. I noticed one of a puppy in a Christmas stocking and stopped “dead in my tracks”. It is the picture on the front of a Christmas card that my Mom sent me many years ago. She died on the 21st of December 1998. The next Christmas I found that I had that card in a box with other cards I had saved to use to make gift tags. I put it on the piano which is where I display the cards I receive each year. Each year I put that card back in the box so that I can put it out again the following year. I’ve continued to display it each year since she passed away. It’s as if my Mom sends me a card every year. That sounds pretty silly and I realize she can’t send me any more cards, but it comforts me to have it there.
I never expected to see that exact picture online. I emailed Janet Skiles.
Coincidences like this fascinate me. Thanks!
Your story is touching me!
Thanks for writing this comment here!
I forgot one more coincidence involved (how could I have forgotten this part?). My Mom’s name was Janet. If Janet Skiles replies to my email, I will reply and tell her that part as well.
