The Illustrated Book of Poultry

image

55 prints of prize British roosters and hens, and other fowl from what is perhaps the most famous 19th-century illustrated book on the subject, with fine chromolithographs after illustrations by J. W. Ludlow. Each bird is sensitively portrayed in a natural farm or henhouse setting, imbued with its own personality and temperament that seems to correspond to its appearance. Some prints show a single bird, others show two, either the more showy males, or a pair of male and female.

Horizon - End:Day

Intro: "Imagine waking up to the last day on earth ... This is the story of just one day with five different endings each predicted by scientists."

This BBC drama documentary uses stunning special effects to dramatise what each scenario would mean for civilization. In the scenarios a mega-tsunami (tidal wave) strikes New York; a dead comet annihilates Berlin; a super volcano devastating the US; Britain falls victim to a deadly virus; and finally, in an attempt to recreate a black hole, scientists destroy the Earth.

Total runtime 56 minutes.

How do you want your day to end?
For me - the only thing that helps is extraordinary special menu and a glass of champagne, cheers!
In spite of it all - have a wonderful Sunday everybody!

Nokia - The Passenger

Using real driving footage filmed on location in the streets of Paris over the course of three nights, The Passenger puts players behind the wheel of an experience that's part interactive movie (a mystery thriller with a stylish "modern noir" feel) and part driving video game (think Grand Theft Auto meets Crazy Taxi) as you drive a mysterious femme fatale around town to conduct a series of shady dealings.

Along the way, you discover the functions of Nokia's CK-20W multimedia car kit.

Bam Bams Tribute To The Sioux Nation

I have always had some kind of connection with the Native American Sioux People.
As a kid growing up i would study on their life and loved every movie about them. In my heart i wished they would have prevailed along with all the other tribes people.
This is my personal video tribute to them.

The Oscars 2007

image

Yes it’s that time again, one of my favorite nights of the year!

In 2007, the 79th annual awards show will be presented on Sunday, February 25, at the Kodak Theatre, at Hollywood & Highland.
And of course I will tune in to watch the ceremony on TV from the comfort of my home. I love it to watch the celebrities as they arrive in their limousines and walk up the red carpet into the auditorium ...

If you love the glitz and glamour too, this website is a good warm-up:

BBC: The Conspiracy Files

On February 18, 2007, the BBC broadcasted an hour-long episode "The Conspiracy Files".

The claim of this documentary is: "An investigation into the growing number of conspiracy theories surrounding the 9/11 attacks. The Conspiracy Files tries to separate fact from fiction."

Have they done a good job of it?

Or is it another sophisticated hit and run journalism?

You decide.

Why are conspiracy theories so popular? We may not always believe what we're told, but we still can't resist listening to them. Guy Smith, producer of 9/11: The Conspiracy Files, suggests the answer may lie deep within us all.
I admit it. If I'm being really honest, I can't deny that I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist. Perhaps we all are.
