Cool way to play guitar!

Myself playing a composition I made 6 years ago in the streets of Spain when I was travelling around. That was on "Belle et Bum" (popular music show in Quebec ).

Groovy Glider

image

Groovy Glider is a trippy little flying game where you fly Mr P through space picking up the crisps and extras without crashing into the Pringles cans. A simple little game, but once you are flying you can't stop anymore ...

Pacific Yurts

"There aren't many places where you can sleep this comfortably and still see the stars." - James H., Wyoming

The Pacific Yurt is a modern adaptation of the ancient shelter used by Central Asian nomads for centuries. The compact shape of the yurt and combination of lightweight members in tension and compression mean that the structure is highly efficient in maximizing strength while minimizing the use of materials.

The Pacific Yurt is a lightweight, low-cost, state-of-the-art version that retains the sense of wholeness of the ancient form while delivering the structural integrity, longevity and low maintenance demanded by modern users.

Take a virtual flight

For your thrill today:

image

Aboard the wings of TATSU, experience flight at speeds in excess of 62 miles-per-hour through a series of ?butterflies-in-your-stomach? plunges, huge sweeping spirals, stomach wrenching loops and sharp dives, high speed banked curves deliberately designed to enhance the ultimate sensation of flight. With more than 3,602 feet of blazing red, orange and yellow twisted steel track barely visible intertwined through the mountainside, TATSU'S intense three-and-a-half minute flight faces a dramatic 263-foot change in elevation from its highest peak to inches off the ground and spans four separate areas of the Park.

The Colorful Art of David C. Miller

David Christopher Miller's extraordinary palette of colors is at once exotic, yet realistic of the habitat he paints. Miller creates seashore scenes caressed by rays of warm light, underwater scenes of graceful dolphins, and brilliantly colored coral reef fish. Miller's awesome marine collection includes Treasure Reef, Deep Secrets, Rays of the Sea, and his resplendent Eternal Light.

1938 Practice with B.K.S. Iyengar and Krishnamacharya

Big news in the small pond of the Ashtanga Yoga at the moment is that somebody has posted extracts of a film made in 1938 of famous yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar and his teacher Sri T. Krishnamacharya.

This film is a fascinating historical yoga document showing two of the last century?s greatest yoga masters in their prime.
Krishnamacharya in inversions, nauli and various advanced pranayama techniques.
(4:32 - silent).

He was 50 years old when the film was shot.

Iyengar is also very impressive doing what seems to be a modified version of the Advanced A Series of Ashtanga. He is actually doing vinyasas! He must have been around 20 years old during that time.

Your eye at the Eiger

Certainly you heard about the Eiger, Switzerland's most infamous mountain. Last week a chunk of rock the size of a skyscraper, called "Madonna", fell hundreds of feet in a thundering, 15-minute avalanche.

image

Here are some great photos
by Spiegel Online.

The spectacular mass of rock breaking off the Eiger mountain has become an unexpected tourist attraction for the resort of Grindelwald:

Disaster tourists flock to Eiger
by NZZ Online.

This was small fry, compared to what is to come. The mountain has been crumbling for the past month and experts believe it is only a matter of days before around two million cubic metres of rock come crashing down.
Now you can keep an eye on the Eiger with a Webcam. The cam is online from 7.00 am till 10.00 pm CET, refreshes every 10 seconds.
