One Hundred Views of the Moon
![]() | Produced during the years of 1885-1892, this series represents Yoshitoshi's greatest achievement. Yoshitoshi was one of the most famous ukiyo-e artists during Meiji Japan. In 1868, as the Meiji restoration opened Japan to the West, many artists were concerned with the loss of their culture. Yoshitoshi took tales from the past, incorporated them with the wide range of human emotions, and brought to life Japan's rich history. |

Marlene Neumann Photography

Marlene Neumann Photography
Unique black and white fine art photography.
This cutting edge South African artist has developed a special technique which she applies to her photographs. The end result: "paintings?", "works of art?", "photographs?". The images offer a fresh and spiritual look at ordinary objects. Travel to destinations such as Namibia, Eastern Cape, Wild Coast, Italy, Greece, France, have also been a source of inspiration.
Drawings and Paintings of Castles by JMW Turner
![]() | Joseph Turner was one of Britain's greatest artists born in 1775. In 1882, by the age of 26, he was made a member of the Royal Academy and undertook the first of many journeys around Britain and Europe drawing landscapes, seascapes, ruined abbeys and crumbling castles. |

Wonderful and huge collection!
The Museum of Unworkable Devices
| This museum is a celebration of fascinating devices that don't work. It houses diverse examples of the perverse genius of inventors who refused to let their thinking be intimidated by the laws of nature, remaining optimistic in the face of repeated failures. Watch and be amazed as we bring to life eccentric and even intricate perpetual motion machines that have remained steadfastly unmoving since their inception. Marvel at the ingenuity of the human mind, as it reinvents the square wheel in all of its possible variations. Exercise your mind to puzzle out exactly why they don't work as the inventors intended. |
