| ... I?ve always been more interested in photographs that are sublime, moody, symbolic, surreal, and sometimes dark and gnarled. One problem I find with postcard-type shots is that they all look like the same photographer took them. They may be technically excellent, but they don?t say much about the person who snapped the shutter. I hope my photos are extensions of me, extensions of my obsessions and fears and ideals. |

I hope they say something about me and the way I view the world.

 | The Sedlec Ossuary (a.k.a. Kostnice) is a small Christian chapel decorated with human bones. It's located in Sedlec, which is a suburb in the outskirts of the Czech town Kutna Hora. In 1996 I visited the place and fell madly in love with it. |
